While the primary focus is on President Laura Roslin and the dreams, or rather nightmares that she's been having becoming prophesy, it also delves quite nicely into a subplot revolving the identities of the Midguardians, a sect of Sagittaron that do not believe in the same religious beliefs of the majority of the Fleet. They seek to be recognised as a separate colony. But not all is as it seems as with many things in the BSG verse. There are twists and turns throughout.
This is a book that once I started I could barely put it down. I read from 100-327 in one sitting. The writing was detailed and descriptive but not overwhelming, so that you can 'hear' the voices as they speak and 'see' the action taking place in your mind. I would have loved if this had been an episode.
